JOHN BONHAM HONOURED WITH A BLUE PLAQUE AT HIS BIRTHPLACE
The heritage plaque was unveiled at 84 Birchfield Rd, Headless Cross, Redditch, Worcestershire, England B97 4LH by Deborah Bonham (John's sister) & Bev Bevan (Drummer, The Move & ELO) for BBC Hereford & Worcester Radio on Thursday 15th June to mark BBC Music Day 2017.

A very special music event to celebrate the John Bonham memorial that was unveiled on May 31st on what would have been John's 70th Birthday.
Celebrating John's life and legacy in his hometown of Redditch, Worcestershire, England, will be a stellar line up of Rock/Blues Artists and Special Guests, with a connection to John and the Bonham family, in our massive festival marquee commencing at 1pm until 11pm. Further acts will be revealed via our twitter feed @JBonhamMF and facebook group page John Bonham Memorial Redditch.

We, the John Bonham Memorial Friends, are overjoyed to announce that the long awaited memorial to John Henry Bonham was installed in the early hours of this morning to mark his 70th Birthday. it can be seen on Mercian Square, Alcester Street, in the heart of Redditch town centre, with the market area.
A HUGE thank -you to everyone involved in the campaign for the past 5 years. To Deborah Bonham and the Bonham family, Sculptor Mark Richards, advisor Roy Williams, Darren Paine, Redditch Borough Council, and a special mention to the company that turned the dream into a reality in bronze, Morris Singer Foundry. They worked day and night in the week leading up to 30th May to get the Memorial finish and installed in time for John's birthday.

JOHN BONHAM MEMORIAL
We are thrilled to announce that a permanent bronze memorial of world renowned drummer John Bonham of Led Zeppelin has been erected in Redditch Town centre to commemorate the Redditch born musician's 70th birthday May 31st 2018.
The idea originated from fans in the West Midlands town who felt that John’s achievement of being lauded as one of the most outstanding and original drummers of his time, be formally recognised.
The memorial, created by acclaimed sculptor Mark Richards, has been made possible from generous donations from both sides of the Atlantic with excess funds raised being donated to Teenage Cancer Trust West Midlands.
In addition, a specially designed memorial teeshirt is being made available with 100% of profits going to the Trust to support their vital services across the West Midlands in memory of John Bonham who resided in Worcestershire with his wife Patricia and their two children until his untimely passing 25th September 1980.
